What ages and levels do you teach? Quality Swimming has a program for all ages and levels from 6 months to adults. Our Baby & Me classes are for infants and young toddlers from 6 months to 35 months old. Our Toddler group classes are for toddlers ages 2 ½ to 3 ½ years old. Our Level classes are for students 3 ½ and above.
Do you have sessions and when can I start? Our program is a continuous program.You may join our program at any time and the monthly tuition will be prorated accordingly. Your child will remain enrolled in our program until you inform us that you are discontinuing lessons.
How often does the class meet and how long is each lesson? Classes are held weekly and are 30 minutes in length. For those wishing to swim 2 times or more per week, we offer a 10% discount on the additional class(es).
Do you recommend private lessons over group lessons? Quality Swimming offers both private and group lessons. Most students benefit most in a group setting.We find that the more a child enjoys the lessons the more successful the learning process is.
How long will it take my child to learn how to swim? Quality Swimming does not give estimates as to how long it will take. There are several factors to consider:
Our technique to achieve water safety is to teach all students to “live in the water.”Many students can “swim”, but do what we call panic swimming. When a student truly learns to “live in the water” the strokes come easily.
Infants and toddlers (even those who do not talk) are very aware of their surroundings, especially the demeanor and feeling of the caretaker or adult. If you are confident, your child will be secure.
Consistency is also key in teaching your child how to swim. Your child’s progress will greatly depend on your commitment to our program. Children learn best through repetitive motion.
What is the student to teacher ratio in your group classes? Quality Swimming maintains a small student: teacher ratio. The ratio for our Toddler classes is maximum 3 students per teacher. Our level classes are 4 students per teacher for Levels 1-4, and Levels 5 and above is 5 students per teacher. The ratio for our Baby & Me classes is 7 students per teacher or up to 6 students at our smaller facilities.
Do you offer any special discounts for siblings? Quality Swimming offers a sibling discount of 10% off tuition fees. We also offer a multi-class discount of 10% off tuition fees for the second day or child each month. (Only one discount per enrollment may be used).
Do you offer any make ups for missed classes? In order to meet our commitment to providing timely, quality service to all of our customers, we do not encourage makeups as they do affect the integrity of the class. It is very important to try to attend your regular scheduled class which is the best possible learning environment for your child. However, we realize that it is sometimes impossible to attend your regular schedule class. We offer one make up class per month. All weather absences will be honored and will not expire.Additional missed classes may be rescheduled for a $5 fee based on availability.
What should I bring to our lessons?
Sun block is recommended for all. Sun block should be applied at least 30 minutes before swimming so it can dry thoroughly.
If a child is not toilet trained or toilet trained for less than six months, the child must be double diapered. The child must wear a disposable swim diaper under an approved reusable cloth swim diaper that passes the two finger test. If two fingers can be inserted under the elastic in the legs and waist, the swim diaper is too large. Disposable diapers alone do not pass Board of Health Code for public pools.
You should bring at least one large towel for a quick wrap up after leaving the water. While the water temperature is warm, children often feel chilled as they get out from the evaporation created by the cooler air.
What is your refund and cancellation policies? Quality Swimming does not offer refunds; however, you may suspend your account for future use.
Our tuition is charged monthly and your payment reserves your space. If you are planning on discontinuing lessons, you must notify us by email (email@example.com) or by filling out a Cancellation Form by the 5th of the preceding month (for example, notification must be received by March 5th to discontinue lessons for April) to assure we do not charge you on the 15th of the month for the following month.
If you know in advance that your child will miss a number of lessons, or if your child will be out for an extended time due to illness or vacation, we recommend that you suspend your lessons. The remaining balance will be held on your Quality Swimming account. No refunds will be issued. If you suspend your lessons for any reason, we cannot guarantee the same swim schedule or instructor when you are ready to return. We will do our best to accommodate you; however, some instructors and certain hours are difficult to get.
How will I be notified if a lesson is cancelled? We may cancel and reschedule lessons for weather, pool maintenance, etc. We cancel our lessons in 30 minute increments. We will do our best to contact you by phone, email and/or update Facebook if we are canceling lessons. Our software enables us to create automated calls that will allow us to notify you quickly. Please note that this service will not use our normal phone number. Therefore, please add both (561) 487-8276 and (513) 318-3554 to your contact list to assure you recognize Quality Swimming as the caller.
